The widget placement is flexible, allowing it to be positioned on the homescreen or lockscreen, or both. Moreover, with the upgrade, its appearance is fully customizable to blend in with any device theme.

The app provides a practical solution for users without a camera flash on their device, permitting the screen to work as a bright light source.

The extension stands out as the first specialized torch/flashlight DashClock extension.

An additional small Tasker plugin is included in the upgrade, which enables unique functionalities like flashing the LED upon notification receipt or activating the light by shaking your device creatively.

Please Note:

• Due to constraints within DashClock, toggling the flash directly from the lock screen using the extension without unlocking the device is currently not feasible.
• The widget, however, can toggle the flash directly from the lock screen without unlocking.
• The app's inclusion was necessitated by an Android 4.0/ICS bug affecting proper functioning of a widget-only "app" and is beneficial for users lacking a camera flash.
• If Face Unlock is enabled, DashLight will not function correctly from the lock screen as two apps cannot access the camera simultaneously.
